Eagle Point Resort is a Southern Utah resort that is completely opposite of the popular ski resorts in Salt Lake City. Utah ski resorts like Park City, Deer Valley and Snowbird are well-known in the industry. They have world-class facilities and snow that is considered the “Greatest Snow on Earth”. However, with all these accolades comes fierce competition for powder, crowds and high prices. Eagle Point, a little-known area, also boasts the Utah Powder that is the Greatest Snow on Earth. However, it is uncrowded, unspoiled and extremely down to Earth.
Eagle Point Ski Resort’s southern Utah location means that people from all over the country visit it. It is also a great resort for international and domestic travellers to combine with Las Vegas. After a night of partying in Las Vegas, you can drive only 3.5 hours to Eagle Point Resort for some relaxation and detox. You could drive three hours from Las Vegas to Brian Head Ski Resort. But if you choose to head to Eagle Point, you will be rewarded with an even more affordable experience, fewer people, and better terrain.
Eagle Point offers affordable condos on-mountain that can be accessed by ski-in/ski-out, or very close. The condos can be walked to Canyonside Lodge for dinner or drinks. There isn’t much else in the village. Eagle Point is charmingly low-key so don’t expect boutiques, wine bars, or day spas.
A few minutes away from the slopes, you will find many vacation homes. Eagle Point Resort can book both condos as well as vacation homes.
You can also choose to stay in Beaver, which is 19 miles away. There are many great value motels and hotels there.
Eagle Point boasts two renovated day lodges, which house the majority of the resort’s facilities and services.
Skyline Lodge is the upper lodge and can be found at the top of Skyline Lift. The Skyline Lodge has a cafeteria that serves traditional ski resort food, as well as first aid, ski and snowboard equipment rentals, small retail shops, and a snowsports school. Adult and child ski lessons are available for children and adults ages 4 to 7, and snowboard lessons for 7 to 8.
Canyonside Lodge is located at the top end of the chair with the same name. It houses the Outpost Grille & Lounge, which are open throughout the day as well as into the night.
The Lookout is located at the top Tushar Ridge and offers spectacular 360-degree views of the surrounding 12K+ foot peaks.
