The ski conditions are generally comparable to other resorts in the area. Copper has a high elevation at 9,712 feet, and a summit elevation at 12,313 feet. Sometimes you can see feet of powder after a storm. However, the mountain has plenty to groom so everyone gets their morning corduroy.
Copper Mountain Ski Resort offers exceptional beginner and intermediate terrain, as well as outstanding fall line groomed trails.
Copper Mountain’s perfect topography is what makes it so that the terrain can be easily separated into different levels of difficulty. The layout of the ski resort has easy slopes to the west, intermediate slopes to the middle, and black terrain to the east. This may be a disadvantage for families or groups who want to ski together in one area. But the pros are that beginners and advanced riders can enjoy the same terrain without worrying about speeders crashing them.
Copper Mountain has ski rental shops at all three bases. However, the Center Village area offers the most variety of rentals. Copper Sports shops can be found at each village’s slopes. However, they are cheaper than Vail Resorts equipment rentals.
Copper Mountain offers a variety of restaurants in the villages to suit all tastes. Copper Mountain restaurants are generally excellent to outstanding in quality.
